About Chainring Performance

Built for the gap between strong and ready.

A background in strength coaching. A background in mountain biking. A standing distrust of training plans that only know one of the two.

The path here ran through gyms, not just trailheads — years coaching strength and mobility before mountain biking became the thing those skills were finally for. Posture work that doesn't hold up on a rock garden isn't posture work, it's stretching.

The philosophy is simple: good training is repeatable. If a program only works on your best day, it's not a program, it's a mood.

The coach

Credibility, without the parade

The method has receipts.

Fully qualified personal trainer, six years in. Mountain biking longer than that — nine years and counting. The training lives downstream of both, not borrowed from a textbook that's never seen a rock garden.

01

Field tested

Six years coaching, nine years riding — the programming has been tested on real clients and real terrain, not just a whiteboard.

02

Specific by design

Built around measurable work, useful range of motion, and fewer heroic guesses.

Why the hybrid method

Because the bike does not care about silos.

Posture and mobility give you positions worth keeping. Strength gives those positions some authority. On-bike performance teaches the whole thing to work when the road stops being polite.

This is one system: posture, mobility, strength, and performance in the same conversation. Less guesswork. Better transfer.
